What is a Cosmotarian? Who cares?
I first read about "cosmotarians" during that whole Ron Paul newsletter thing ( the one that happened during the 2008 campaign). I recall being told that libertarians who objected to the bigotry in the Ron Paul and Lew Rockwell writings were not "real" libertarians but Beltway insider "cosmotarians."
I don't live in D.C. and I have never had a gig at a libertarian think tank or magazine, and I never will. I don't think I am a "cosmopolitan" libertarian. But since I don't hate gays, blacks, or jews, and don't think police should go around beating the shit out (black) people..and I wouldn't want to live in a neighborhood where the main expression of property rights is keeping all the non-whites out- I will call myself a cosmotarian.
